This ercol Windsor Quaker arm chair encompasses a tall u-shaped, bent wood seat back as well six turned spindles and supportive armrests. The chair bow is steam bent from a single straight ash rail into this amazingly tight radius bend and then sanded and shaped to give its subtle and elegant profile.

Traditional wedge joints, where the legs come right through the seat and a wedge is then inserted into a cut, before the leg stump is hand sanded flush with the seat, both provide a lovely design detail and a very strong joint. Further strength is provided by the H-underframe.

The Quaker chair can be finished from a range of lacquer colours that both protects the timber, whilst enabling you to choose the look to match your style and décor, You can also choose a seat pad, from a collection of a hundred different fabrics.
