At Potburys, we love to champion British furniture brands, so we're excited to bring a new British manufacturer, Enchanted House Beds, into the store.

Even more exciting is that Enchanted House Beds is a Devon-based business like ours! Each luxury bed and mattress is lovingly handcrafted by a small team of bedmakers in Dartmoor, Devon.

What makes these Devon-made beds unique? 

Every mattress is handcrafted from beginning to end using certified Dartmoor wool and luxurious fabrics and materials for the perfect night's sleep.

Dartmoor wool

The wool mattresses are hand-upholstered with the highest quality fillings, including pure hand-teased wool from the family sheep farm. Enchanted House Beds is the only UK luxury bed maker to supply 100% of its own wool.

Natural materials and fibres

Only the finest grade wool and premium-quality natural materials and fibres, including horsehair, alpaca fleece, silk, and cashmere, go into an Enchanted House Beds mattress. This includes the pure, hand-tied wool tufts, which remain unbleached and natural. 

Egyptian cotton

Egyptian cotton mattress coverings are 100% pure, chemical-free and fire retardant. The high thread count provides strength and durability.

British Steel pocket springs

The mattresses are made with British steel Comfort Intelligence pocket springs for the best durability and comfort.

All these elements combine to produce an exceptionally comfortable, sumptuous and inviting mattress designed to last for years.

Luxury beds

Each divan is finished in a sumptuous fabric with a selection of colours and styles for you to choose from. Standard sizes include the following, but we can arrange custom sizes for a bespoke space.
