For more than 80 years, Ekornes has been designing and crafting the most comfortable seating, Stressless, from its home in Norway. Respecting the environment and being green is at the core of the Ekornes operation. The company is passionate about the environment and doing what it can to preserve our natural habitat for future generations.

Ekornes' goal is to build a product with a minimal ecological footprint, a product that spans decades. Their daily green efforts include:

• Using intensive processes, such as close-loop steel degreasing to build metal bases, avoiding harmful emissions into the air and the fjords.
• Sourcing green materials and water-based paints and lacquers.
• Implementing new practices and processes to protect the health of their employees and the cleanliness of their water.
• Using only the highest-quality and longest-lasting materials.

Above all, the key driver for Ekornes is to make furniture that lasts and doesn't need replacing.

TREES FOR SEATS

Throughout the Stressless winter sale period (26th December 2019 – 26th February 2020) Ekornes has committed locally through Trees for Cities to plant a tree for every seat sold. They have pledged to plant 6,000 trees in the UK in March 2020.
